Cast of Characters

The Omnymphotents features an ensemble cast of omnipotent nymphomaniacs, who go about their endless days getting up to various adventures and shenanigans, often (but not necessarily) with an erotic twist! The mortal Playthings who are aware of them are never quite sure just how many Omnys there actually are, much less who all of them are. Able to take on any form they wish and facilitate any scenario they wish, the Omnys remain largely a mystery, even to the mortals they play with.

You lucky readers, however, get to see their lives beyond what their Playthings experience! Read on to learn exactly who these horny goddesses are! Now Updated Through August 2023.

THE PROGENITORS

The Progenitors are those Omnymphotents who hold the distinction of existing prior to, and being responsible for the creation of, the current Omnyverse. They were the original cast of the Old Canons, and the first to Ascend in the present timeline.

CYL

Aliases: Cylhouette

Created Worlds: Wood Knot, Palatial Skies, Aquafel, Cloth Land

Omny Relations: Wyllow (Mingle Daughter), Whitney (Lover), Jax (Lover), Reignbeau (Sister-In-Arms, Lover), the Five (Leader)

Kinks: Vanilla, Romance

Preferences: Bisexual

Archetypes: Heart of Gold, Big Sister, Superhero, Den Mother, Down to Earth, Guardian Angel

Default Appearance: Korean woman with softly glowing golden eyes and long white hair. She is usually seen in very skimpy outfits, be they bikinis or loose robes, usually red in color. Her more “formal” outfit is a pure black body stocking, so dark that it makes her look like a living silhouette. When she wants to be extra dramatic, she will pair her black suit with a set of exotic crimson energy wings.

Notable Attribute: Cyl has also been scarred by the Mark of Temael, a mystic brand of a triangle surrounding a crimson viper’s eye. The Mark is super-imposed over her left eye, and although she was able to suppress it from mortal sight, she could never actually get rid of it until the Big Bang enabled her to reset her whole existence. Even so, the existential memory of the Mark still haunted her, and during one of her expeditions into the Greater Multiverse, she regained it after making a deal with the Dark God.

Pre-Ascension: Before her Ascension, Cyl was an unremarkable workaholic, grinding away at the office hours while dreaming of a more exciting life. Feeling pigeonholed in her career, and failing to find any long term romantic success, she had more or less resigned herself to a life of corporate drudgery. Romance and fantasy novels became her primary distractions, and small donations to charity helped her feel like she was doing some good in the world. She was never truly satisfied, however, but became too jaded with life to make a serious change.

Ascension has given her exactly the exciting life she always fantasized about: cosmic adventure and astonishing sex!

Post-Ascension: Cyl is the nominal leader of the Omnys, though a more accurate description would probably be “cat herder” of the group. While she has a high sex drive like the rest, she has a sense of restraint and responsibility well above her fellow Progenitors. She is the most caring for humanity overall, and in the grand scheme, has done most of the work in protecting Earth for external threats and the more reckless behavior of her fellow Omnys.

While sex with an Omny is naturally overwhelming, Cyl is the most willing to tamp down her power as much as possible, and let her lovers go at her “the mortal way”. She enjoys vanilla sex with a partner who can give as good as they get (all things considered), and she tends to form genuine friendships with mortals, in as much as an Omny can. She also has the smallest pool of mortal lovers of the Progenitors, and doesn’t really like to refer to them as Playthings, mainly doing so because it’s just become the common parlance among her fellows.

Cyl also has a penchant for Creation, with her Worlds being exotic fantasy realms that set the stage for thrilling exploration and adventure, as well as peaceful worlds established for artistic and intellectual pursuits. Cyl rarely blesses mortals with direct Empowerment, less out of a lack of trust, and more that she just doesn’t want to put the temptation out there for more trouble to be caused on Earth. Within her Worlds, however, visiting mortals may learn various forms of magic or obtain supernatural powers native to those Worlds, though they lose those abilities upon leaving, unless she allows exceptions. Cyl will more often make Created, either to be more reliable partners or assistants to her mortal lovers, or to vicariously enjoy their adventures throughout her Worlds.

Cyl has also, just in case, opted to create a group of guardians for the Omnyverse, who can act in her stead, recruiting four other Omnys for the dual purposes of enforcing the Etiquette, and being the first line of defense against external threats to their reality.

Old Canons: Of the Progenitors, Cyl is the most existentially troubled of her group. In the Old Canons, her attempt to be the “heroic” Omny often eventually lead to tragic outcomes. In one continuity, she rallied all extant Omnys across the Multiverse to try and kill Temael in an effort to save all existence from the Dark God’s destructive avarice. This resulted in the annihilation of all but five of the Omnys, whom Cyl was barely able to rescue from the doomed mission. This was the incident that left her scarred with the Mark of Temael. In another timeline, she acted as the leader of the “good” Omnys, opposite to Shady leading the “bad” Omnys. The elaborate roleplay ended in a real war that saw the destruction of that version of the Omnyverse. In still other timelines, she overtly altered the conditions of Earth and humanity to attempt to make a paradise for the species, only for the complexities of human nature to render all her efforts moot.

Because of this, Cyl has found herself largely stifled in her desire to be a champion for good, and thus finds herself unable to fulfill this desire. She does not wish to interfere with human development overtly, and likewise does not wish to risk cosmic destruction battling other Omnys more than necessary. In the present Omnyverse, she has managed to compromise for a stable peace via devising the Etiquette, which the other Omnys agree to, if sometimes begrudgingly.

For herself, however, Cyl has come to realize she is a warrior without a war, and a would-be savior unable to do right for the majority of those suffering on Earth. She wishes to be the “good” Omny, but the status quo of a mundane Earth and the elimination of any immediate major threats to their world forces her into inaction. Bereft of the ability to do much in the Omnyverse other than act as the occasional nagging den mother, Cyl could not be content in the very world she helped to create. She has chosen to periodically leave the Omnyverse by traveling through the Meta, and battling against the truly evil forces and cosmic horrors of the Greater Multiverse.

Salamando’s Notes: In some ways, Cyl is the main character of The Omnymphotents in as much as any of the Omnys can be considered such. While the most of the Omnys are cosmic hedonists, Cyl has an actual sense of conflict and stakes with regards to the Omnyverse and her place in it.

This was not really intentional, but Cyl saw the most change throughout the development of the Omnymphotents. Initially a bubbly and chipper woman popping in and out of people’s lives for thrills, the Cyl of the present is a completely different person, more reserved, sometimes brooding, and taking her love life more seriously than the rest. My attempt to make Cyl a more interesting, engaging, and relatable character served mainly to saddle her with the baggage of pathos that has defined many of the heroes from my genre fiction. Failure and the quest for redemption, and the struggle to find and fulfill one’s purpose, are nearly universal themes of my work, cropping up even when I try to break away from it.

This is probably why, even for all that I have tried to focus my erotica on the purely erotic, I have never been able to fully let go of the genre fiction elements of superhero adventure and cosmic horror. Even now, my emotions surge more strongly imagining Cyl standing defiant against the horrific armies of the Dark God, than imagining what sort of kinky orgies she has with her beloved mortals.

Cyl may have been born of the erotic, but she’s outgrown it. And while she doesn’t wish to entirely leave her home reality, she can’t stay contained to it, lest she go as crazy as I do when I’m creatively frustrated.

LETTIE

Aliases: Collette

Created Worlds: Artemis University

Omny Relations: Demi (Mingle Daughter), Devi (Mistress)

Kinks: Experimentation, Shape Shifting, Orgies

Preferences: Bisexual

Archetypes: Manic Pixie Dream Girl, Girl Next Door, High School Crush, Country Cutie

Default Appearance: Caucasian American girl with brown hair and eyes. Usually dresses in blue jeans and plaid shirts that generously show off her cleavage.

Pre-Ascension: Lettie was a sweet, fun-loving girl from a small Kentucky town, who certainly lived up to the phrase “town bicycle”. Although she grew up in a poor household, she had caring parents, and was easily able to make her own fun, letting her live a fairly carefree life. Perhaps a little too carefree.

Never settling down with any single boy or girl for long, she ran through the limited pickings in her hometown, until she managed to get into a local college with some meager savings from her parents and a student loan. She spent the school year partying much more than studying. Only her natural artistic talents and unparalleled cock-sucking skills kept her from failing her first semester, but her luck ran out by the end of her second.

After flunking out so terribly, she had a falling out with her parents, and the harsh realities of adult responsibilities suddenly bore down on her in a way she wasn’t prepared for. She ran away from home, falling in with a group of new-age hippies, and losing herself in further debauchery. Had things continued this way, Lettie would have eventually ended up a strung out druggie prostitute.

Fortunately for her, life’s harsher lessons never had time to kick in. She Ascended a mere month after running from home, and now nothing stands in the way of her endless hedonistic pursuits!

Post-Ascension: Lettie is a flighty girl, always chipper and ready to ball. She lives to give and receive pleasure, and it took her a lot longer to cool off her cosmically bolstered sex drive after her Ascension. Initially, she had no patience for roleplay or foreplay or seduction games, simply appearing next to those she fancied and diving right into the sex.

Lettie is also a very creative lover and eager to try endless variations of love-making. Once she gets going, sex with Lettie can quickly spiral into a whirlwind of increasingly wild scenarios, shifting shapes and locations and inflicting numerous sensation adjustments on her partner.

Overall, though, Lettie is a sweet girl at heart, and when she’s finally satiated herself, she will return everything to normal, cuddling and comforting her partner, giving them one last “normal” sex act for relief, before leaving them dazed but overall satisfied. Lettie doesn’t mean to be cruel or sadistic, she just gets easily carried away. The fact that she can just fix anything that goes wrong with a thought lets her easily become reckless.

Cyl, notably, found herself having to wrangle Lettie more than the other three Omnys combined. Lettie has likewise had the most sex with her fellow Omnys, since they are the only ones able to truly keep up with her, and she is the most successful at pestering the other Omnys into going along with her ideas if only through sheer force of stubbornness.

Thanks in part to Cyl setting her straight, and Devi taking her on as a sub, Lettie has finally managed to calm herself down enough to spend some casual time on anything other than sex. Current Lettie can, in fact, be quite chill when she’s fully satiated. It just takes her a lot to get there.

A final interesting fact about Lettie is that her penchant for physical action and sporadic creative expression has led her to being surprisingly effective in Omny combat. She is second only to Cyl in sheer battle prowess when she actually applies herself. Lettie doesn’t actually have much reason to engage in fights, but does occasionally spar with other Omnys for fun.

Salamando’s Notes: Strictly speaking, Lettie was the first official Omny I used, in the original “Omnymphotent Ex” story. While fun, I also realized immediately what a challenge it would be to write more than one story about her, if her every single appearance was just going to be her popping up in people’s bedrooms, fucking them in dozens of ludicrous ways, and popping out again. While a good gimmick for a one-shot, it would quickly get old as a formula.

Various attempts to figure out a better approach led to me just using different women for each of the early stories, to see what would click. Eventually, of course, this led to me deciding I did actually want there to be a full Omny cast instead of just one woman, and because I still had no idea what I was doing, I just opted to use the first five Omny women I came up with as the core cast.

As such, I ended up writing Lettie again, and out of sheer necessity, I had to cool down her legendary-even-for-the-Omnys sex drive, just so she could have an actual character, and not just be a relentless fuck machine her whole existence. It’s worked out, though, as the Omnys all find their own distinct voice. While I usually eschew comic relief characters, Lettie being the ever-cheerful goofball of the group makes for an amusing foil bouncing off the other Omny’s quirks.

WHITNEY

Aliases: the Merchant, Britney

Created Worlds: Maison de Labrynthe, Eros Laboratories

Omny Relations: Wyllow (Mingle Daughter), Cyl (Mingle Partner, Lover)

Kinks: Voyeurism, Sex Parties, Female Empowerment

Preferences: Bisexual

Archetypes: Elegant Hostess, Party Girl, Matchmaker, Sly Fox, Likes to Watch

Default Appearance: French woman with blond hair and blue eyes. Usually wears fashionable white dresses, alternating between fancy and simple styles as the mood suits her.

As the Merchant, she has no set appearance, matching the majority ethnicity of whatever country her shop appears in, likewise adjusting her uniform and the shop itself to best fit the regional culture.

As Britney, she appears as a strawberry blond American girl with blue eyes, favoring short skirts and sleeveless tops.

Pre-Ascension: Whitney had spent most of her mortal life as a homeless girl living in the streets of Paris. She had once been part of the upper class, and some of her earliest memories were of her grandparent’s palatial estate. However, her father had squandered his wealth, and after a vicious falling out, had been disowned by his parents, leaving their family destitute. Shortly there after, her mother simply left them, and shortly after that, her father drank himself to death. By that point, her grandparents were out of reach, having moved to another country, and Whitney had no other family to fall back on.

Still, she refused to give up and die. She eventually turned to prostitution to survive, moving into a seedy brothel, where she allowed dangerous and desperate men to use her body however they saw fit. And if she didn’t satisfy the customer, she was beaten, and her cut of the pay reduced.

She never considered giving into suicide or turning to drugs, but she knew there was really no hope for her. Her only shot was to perhaps try, however low the odds, to win the heart of a rich, lonely man, and become his mistress or even just his live-in servant. It was a nice dream, at least, though she knew she would never again walk among the opulent abodes of the upper class.

Not until she Ascended, and obtained a wealth greater than all the hoards and finery on Earth: vast reality bending powers! Which, of course, she immediately put to use fashioning a luxurious lifestyle for herself, and enjoying the riches of eternal youth and sexual pleasures on her own terms!

Post-Ascension: Whitney fell easily into the life of an upper-class socialite, first going around the world and charming and seducing men and women alike. Then, when she had amassed enough Playthings and Empowered, she started inviting them into her Mansion World directly, to participate in her elaborate sex parties!

Whitney is a curious case in that she actually doesn’t have much direct sex herself after her initial seduction of her many Playthings. Instead, she prefers to watch as her Playthings pair off, riding their senses to vicariously experience their couplings. She does still have sex, of course, but she doesn’t want to hog all the fun. During her parties, she will duplicate herself several times over, with many of her copies participating in foreplay and teasing, and only a few fully engaging in sex. Likewise, she tends to limit her powers during these parties to be more on par with her Empowered.

Speaking of, Whitney has more Empowered to her name than all the other Omnys combined. While most Omnys refuse to empower men, she has a bit of a femdom streak in that she likes seeing super powered women using their abilities in kinky ways. Mostly, she likes seeing hapless men in the grips of such powerful women, though femdom/femsub couplings are also fun for her to watch.

To this end, in her guise as the Merchant, she travels around the world, incorporating her shop into various business strips and malls, temporarily setting up her shop as an indistinct “specialty items” story. Through this outlet, she provides enchanted artifacts to couples who are struggling with their sex lives. These artifacts will in some way grant a woman some sexually charged supernatural advantage over her man. She vicariously enjoys these couplings as well, watching the action from afar.

Whitney is simply happy to make other people happy, and help mortals find good sex partners, and potentially love. She doesn’t hold any grudges over how life treated her; life for some mortals is naturally rough. She’d rather make other lonely people’s lives more joyful than get petty revenge on those who wronged her.

She is also quite aware that however good the sex is, an Omny can never truly be in a romantic relationship with a mortal. As such, one reason she has her sex parties is to let potential couples meet and open the possibility of more reasonable relationships; likewise, in her guise as the Merchant, she works on providing “marital aids” for couples who are still good for each other, but just going through a rough patch.

One notable exception to this approach was her time as Britney, where she took a break from being the Lady of the Manor to play at being a more typical horny college co-ed. She had more actual sex in this form, but greatly limited the use of her powers, presenting herself as a merely magical lover in Lettie’s Artemis University world.

Salamando’s Notes: One advantage in writing the Omnys is that their universe can be a sandbox of infinite potential, because the Omnys themselves can do anything, including set up customized worlds and imbue mortals with powers. Whitney’s sex parties are a good example of this, as she invites many Playthings to have fun in her Mansion.

Whitney hasn’t changed much from her initial concept, so much as I just started emphasizing attributes that were already present. In her first story, she was mostly another bubbly fun girl, but afterwards, I emphasized her distinction as a more elegant, graceful figure, and explored her more nurturing side. She slid easily into the role of a more supporting figure for the other Omnys to lean on.

I can’t really talk about Whitney without talking about her Mansion World; moreso than any other Omny, Whitney’s personal play world, the Maison de Labrynthe, is an extension of her character, and was the first real Omny World I thought of. Actually, it’s more of an import from an older concept. I’ve had a fascination with unorthodox alternate worlds, and the idea of a reality that is just an infinite house was a fascinating concept I never managed to use anywhere else. The idea of having adventures, kinky or otherwise, exploring such a world is something I at least wanted to try utilizing, and so having it be one of the Omny’s Worlds was the perfect opportunity. I actually think the Mansion came first, and Whitney was created to be its owner, since I couldn’t see the other Omny options at the time working with it.

SHADY

Aliases: Shadia, Queen of the Shadows, Devil Shady

Created Worlds: the Golden Net, the Flesh Caves, Immernacht, Voxela

Omny Relations: Jax (Splinter-Brother), Opal (Mingle-Daughter)

Kinks: Tease and Denial, Sensual Sadism, Erotic Challenges

Preferences: Bisexual

Archetypes: Troublemaker, Sexy Bully, Sassy Mistress, Cocktease, Ballbuster

Default Appearance: A young African-American woman with chin-length hair, softly glowing purple eyes, purple lipstick and nails. She tends to wear tank tops and short shorts and no shoes.

As Devil Shady, she takes on a succubus-like version of herself, taller and more toned with muscle, with horns, wings, a tail, and cloven hooves.

As the Queen of Shadows, she takes the form of liquid darkness in the shape of a human woman, with a cloak of rippling and wisping shadows trailing behind her. Her purple glowing eyes are her only distinguishing feature.

Pre-Ascension: Shady was a young suburbanite who spent most of her well-off life, being bored, and stirring up trouble to relieve her ennui. Pulling pranks as a kid, sneaking out to parties as a teen, and being an overall brat with a smart mouth, she was always testing the patience of anyone in authority. And when it came to sex, nothing turned her on more than winding up boys, and sending them home blue balled!

Ascension for Shady was like being given the ultimate entertainment. Existence has now become an endless game to play, with so many new, hapless Playthings to enjoy! She’s now free to indulge her every desire, an humanity is just along for the ride!

Post-Ascension: Naturally, the freshly empowered Shady got right to work imposing herself on thirsty mortals, playfully bullying hapless nerds and putting cocky studs in their place! However, while she doesn’t take no for answer from any mortal, and she has a sadistic streak, she isn’t entirely as evil as she presents herself. Although she’ll use her powers to control her Plaything’s orgasms for the rest of their lives, she will also make sure their lives are stable, fixing or mitigating any problems her own pranks would cause.

While she can come off as cruel and abusive, she mainly tends to impose herself on mortals who are already into being pushed around as a fetish, whether they know it yet or not. Regardless, Shady likes to put people out of their comfort zone, whether that be putting a little scare in them or utilizing kinks and fetishes her partners aren’t into. She’s always throwing her Playthings for a loop, flaunting her power over them, and sometimes imposing challenging erotic games on them to see how far she can push them. She also likes some fight in her Playthings, and her favorite lovers are those who can sass her right back, despite her absolute power.

Her sadism can run deep, however. There are times she wishes to truly shatter a mortal, physically and mentally, and she has enough of a conscience to not inflict this fate on innocent people. For the worst treatment, she will snatch truly evil mortals, abusers and criminals the other Omnys won’t say don’t deserve some punishment. Even still, Cyl has occasionally had to rein Shady in for going too far.

Although Shady ultimately respects and admires Cyl, her natural chafing at authority means she is the one most willing to challenge her on certain issues. In a previous timeline, their roleplay as the leaders of the “good” and “evil” factions of the Omnys eventually spiraled into a serious war that saw the two trying to kill one another, destroying that old timeline’s Omnyverse in the process. Neither woman wants to repeat that doomed scenario, and so they’ve learned to not let any resentments linger.

She’s not going to let that stop her from having her fun, however, and she’ll still sometimes push the limits of the Etiquette, just to see how much she can get away with!

Salamando’s Notes: Shady is probably the closest the series has to a secondary main character, and she is much more inline with how I usually prefer my supernatural femdom women: she’ll use and abuse you just for her own amusement, and your sexual suffering just makes it that much more fun! And yet, when she’s done with you, she’ll make sure you’re patched up afterwards. As cruel as she gets, she doesn’t want to actually ruin you; for her, it’s all just in good fun. As such, she’s not actually the most evil Omny around, even if she likes to act like it sometimes.

In line with this, Shady also got fleshed out a bit to be the first one who brings a little antagonism to the Omnys, which tends to make their group dynamics more interesting. Shady brings a sarcastic, smart-ass wit to any given Omny meet up. Having her bounce off the other Omnys helped me better figure out and define their own voices and personalities, once Shady provided a foil for them all to respond to.

DEVI

Aliases: Devika, Goddess-Queen of Atzlazon

Created Worlds: Atzlazon

Omny Relations: Demi (Mingle Daughter), Lettie (Mingle Partner, Lover, Submissive)

Kinks: Domination, Additional Limbs

Preferences: Lesbian

Archetypes: Goddess, Queen, Mistress, Alpha Lesbian

Default Appearance: A tall Indian woman of statuesque beauty, with black hair and brown eyes. She wears bold, sleek dresses with warm color tones, and usually has a few pieces of golden jewelry on her person, such as bracelets and a necklace.

In her Goddess of Aztlazon presentation, she wears much more elaborate fantasy-themed outfits befitting a mythological figure, particularly of Hindu or Aztek fashions, often a blend thereof. She may occasionally demonstrate extra arms in this form, or dress herself in a sheath of pure fire.

Pre-Ascension: Devi grew up in a moderately wealthy family in India, becoming a fashion model, as well as doing some nude modeling. Despite coming from money and being a world-traveling supermodel, she felt stifled in her role. She liked the idea of being in the spotlight, of being admired for her beauty, but it was not until she met a few women who introduced her to the world of BDSM that she truly found something thrilling. She soon shifted careers, becoming a famous dominatrix porn star, working exclusively with lesbian actresses.

Unfortunately, her proud family considered this to be heinous, and disowned her as their daughter. Devi didn’t care, having more than enough money to support herself, and continuing to be successful in the industry, well into her thirties. Unfortunately, her popularity began to wane, as age took an undeniable toll on her looks, and the internet bolstered the competition for adult entertainment to a ludicrous degree. Devi had enough money to be set for life; it was the worship she desired, and for the first time in a decade, she began to feel unsatisfied as her popularity dwindled. She retired from the industry, only to find that for all she had been cultivating professional connections, the friends she used to do shoots with no longer had much use for her. She was rich, but alone.

Had things continued, she likely would have spiraled into an alcohol-fueled depression that it’s debatable she could have recovered from. Thankfully, before things could actually get dark for her, she Ascended. Now, with her beauty not only restored but further enhanced, and the power of a Goddess at her fingertips, Devi can command the adoration of all who behold her! Better still, if the mortals blessed by her presence are beautiful women she can lead down the sapphic path.

Post-Ascension: Devi immediately accepted her Ascension as a natural event that she was of course worthy to receive. Devi always presents a confident, regal air, impressing people with her sheer force of presence, even without using her powers. She will seduce any woman she fancies, and even the straightest or most asexual woman finds themselves compelled by her.

Devi will not outright mind control other women to get her way, but whenever she meets a new potential Plaything, she will usually introduce herself, and the spark of attraction flare in the mortal woman. Assuming she doesn’t fall for Devi’s charms right away, Devi will set the spark to simmer in the woman’s mind, leaving her a method of contacting the Goddess through prayer if she decides she wants to ball. No woman yet has managed to resist Devi’s advances, though none have ever regretted giving into her temptations.

Aside from this, Devi’s World of Aztlazon serves to satiate her desires to be worshipped as a Goddess, since the Etiquette prevents her from imposing her full divinity upon the masses of Earth or Thrae. This arrangement suits her just fine, and Aztlazon has served as her homeworld ever since.

Devi generally has little patience for people wasting her time or getting on her nerves. In her interactions with other Omnys, she usually plays the stoic, no-nonsense one, who doesn’t like being told what to do. She will defer to Cyl’s judgment, however, having respect for a chain of authority, and she will soften her attitude for those she feels genuine affection for. She can at times have a dry wit when she does loosen up.

Ironically, she has accepted Lettie as a lover, despite the other Omny’s erratic comings and goings and goofy attitude. In part, this suits the dynamic, wherein Devi can exert her authority on the other girl to discipline her, and Lettie occasionally pushes her mistress’s buttons to provoke exactly that response.

Despite appearances, Devi does not hate men, but rather, she is merely indifferent to them. She will tolerate the use of them as toys during other Omnys’ sex games, and she is willing to facilitate their presence for the sake of letting women use them for pleasure. Even in Aztlazon, an otherwise lesbian-inhabited world, a small number of men exist to provide their seed and be used as fuck toys by the women.

Although she doesn’t feel particularly creative herself, Devi does have an admiration for art that she doesn’t talk about much, going so far as to create a prestigious art gallery and museum on Earth, where various high-profile artists display their work.

Salamando’s Notes: Devi is basically the same as when I first of conceived of her, and I admit this is probably just due to her being the stoic alpha domme, so she’s not naturally inclined for nuance to begin with. I’ve tried giving her a bit more depth in her relationships and interests, but she’s a pretty straightforward character.

I will also confess that she was created with diversity in mind. The four prior Omnys consisted of two white girls, with Cyl and Shady turning out East Asian and black just because that’s how I naturally envisioned them. Likewise, they were all bisexual by default, but of course, the stories I wrote up to that point all involved the Omnys playing with men. Just for further variety’s sake, I felt like I should have at least one devoutly lesbian Omny, so I would actually have to write a female-on-female scene. Thus I chose to make an Indian Omny, which in turn helped me pick a name for her. Devi, of course, means “goddess”, so it’s a little on the nose as far as names go, but hey, of all the Omnys, Devi is the one who most fully embraces the image of Goddesshood, so it fits.

There really isn’t much else to say about her. While I think she does bring further balance to the group dynamic as the alpha personality, my actual lack of interest in doing lesbian scenes means she’s not really my go-to when it comes to making new Omny content outside of group banter scenes. (Little did I know the Omnys would end up having tons of lesbian content as the series went on.)

MEGAN

Aliases: Mars, MegaMars, Morgana

Created Worlds: Monsta, Salamando’s Prison

Omny Relations: Domina (Splinter-Sister), Jax (Lover)

Kinks: Domination, Tease and Denial, Sensual Sadism

Preferences: Straight

Archetypes: Nerd Girl, Chip On Her Shoulder, Cocktease, Ballbuster

Default Appearance: A slim Caucasian-American girl with wavy brown hair and brown eyes, usually favoring red jeans and a black shirt with optional denim jacket, and a pair of fashionable glasses that give her a cute nerd look.

Mars/MegaMars is her online alias, so she sometimes introduces herself that way when talking to people she’s met online, without really taking a new appearance.

As Morgana, she looks like a more overtly sexy version of herself, dressed in the fashionable anime-style trends of video game characters from JRPGs set in pseudo-contemporary settings, particularly as inspired by the likes of later Final Fantasy games. This style is the fashion of choice for the world of Monsta, where she moonlights as one of the more famous HalfGal tamers.

Pre-Ascension: Megan was a plain-looking, nerdy girl who lived a rough life at home, with an alcoholic mother and verbally abusive father. A couple years before, her only brother had been killed in a car accident; on the one hand, her brother had been shitty to her for most of their childhood, but his death had only made their parents worse.

Her social life was no different; underconfident and shy, Megan had no real friends. Her only real solace was video games, anime, and comics, until she eventually discovered hentai games. Her geeky interests quickly descended into a porn and masturbation addiction, favoring the sparse stories of supernaturally powerful women, redheads in particular, dominating and using men for their own pleasure.

Despite her surging sex drive, her lack of social skills and good looks meant she couldn’t even seduce the thirstiest boys at her school, which turned into a self-directed bitterness and a bit of misandry from being so thoroughly overlooked by the boys at her school. This only strengthened her feelings of isolation, and she became as close to a shut-in as she could while still attending classes and having to deal with her parents’ attitudes.

When she Ascended, it was a whole new lease on life. Now free to satiate her rampant lusts, and bring her favorite fantastical worlds to life, Megan is determined to live her life on her own terms.

Post-Ascension: Megan is last of the Progenitors to appear, an attempted fresh start to her timeline. However, shortly after gaining her powers, she pushed her cosmic senses to study the world around her, and realized the fictional nature of herself, and her world. Irritated at the thought that someone else, a man no less, she yanked her author out of his world, and into her own. She tossed him in a pocket dimension where he could no longer interfere with her life, ostensibly freeing herself from even her creator’s control.

This prompted the original five Omnys, who had been watching their author’s latest attempt to restart their series, to jump into the new timeline and confront her on her plans. Megan, already knowing who they were, and what possible futures could lie ahead, wished only to start with a fresh slate. Desiring to become like the powerful femdom redheads she read about, she took the form of Domina, who in one of the Old Canons, was fated to be the enemy of the other Omnys.

However, unlike those old timelines, as Domina, she retained her sense of restraint and self-preservation, making peace with the others, and agreeing to work with them to perform a true reset of their canon, performing the Big Bang to create the current Omnyverse.

While initially determined to remain as Domina, she couldn’t resist switching back to Megan just to try it out. To her surprise, she discovered she still liked being Megan, as well as continuing as Domina. As such, the two split apart form one another, becoming the first Splinter of the present timeline. Megan thus continued on as being once again her own person, re-adjusting to her new/old self. Despite being the original form of the two, Megan is seen by Domina as her Splinter, not the other way around, and Megan is rarely willing to argue the point. The two, despite being fully distinct entities, still keep a close connection, balancing each other out as they acclimate to their present circumstances in the current Omnyverse.

Now back to being herself, Megan indulges in playing the unassuming nerd girl who turns out to be an absolute sex fiend once she decides to reveal her femdom side. However, despite desiring men, she still feels a bit of petty resentment towards them, on top of a natural thrill to making them suffer her sensually sadistic teasing and sex games. When she breaks a man under her power, there is a genuine wicked thrill to seeing his suffering.

However, she does not wish to torture her Playthings to the hellish degree that Domina does. When she’s done playing with her men, her more vicious desires cool off, and she’ll make sure they are okay afterwards. She has even had moments of genuine niceness or taking it easy on some of her Playthings. Still, she never really forms a friendship with any of them.

Old Canons: Megan is aware that in a previous timeline, when she became Domina, she went completely power mad and insane, giving fully into her evilest urges and radically altering the world to suit her cruel whims. The Five were forced to battle her in a fatal conflict that ruined their universe and left her and several of the Omnys dead.

Despite once again embracing her Domina persona for a time, Megan refused to go down the road of mutually assured destruction again. In some ways, this has made Domina chafe, as the sociopathic redhead finds herself much more restricted than she’d prefer. Still, the Etiquette allows some leeway, and Megan is able to provide some more level-headed stability for her alternate self, even as Domina enables her to vent the worst of her sadistic urges. It may not make for nearly as dramatic a story conflict as before, but to the two women’s minds, a slightly inconvenient compromise is better than everyone wiping each other out.

Salamando’s Notes: The character of Megan underwent a couple revisions as I tried to factor her into the plotline. Initially, she was going to be her own character, but she seemed too much like a duplicate of Shady. Then I figured why not make her Shady’s Splinter? However, something didn’t fit quite right about that, namely in that if she was so similar to Shady already, why would Shady even Splinter as Megan (or Mars, as she was called at the time)?

Around that time, I had also come up with Domina, because I realized I hadn’t yet created a redhead Omny, and I thought maybe having a truly evil Omny to conflict with the Original Five would give the series some direction.

One interesting alternate set-up I was initially thinking of was that Megan would, in fact, be the One Omny. She would shift first into Domina, but then adapt many different forms, and some of these would Splinter off naturally, forming the other Omnys in the process. I didn’t go with that route, because I liked the idea of the Omnys being a group of individually empowered women more, instead of them all being pigeonholed into a single source. Still, this is probably where the idea of having Domina be Megan first hit me.

I think combining the two women turned out to be the right decision. It lends a bit more character depth to both women, and the idea of Megan being a Splinter of her own alternate identity was an intriguing twist on the idea, despite me having not actually implemented Splintering in the stories yet.

Megan, of course, really came into her own as the starting character of Metafucktional Miracle, and thus, the catalyst for the formation of the current Omnyverse. At the time, I was desperate to just get anything written, and I couldn’t decide which Omny to settle on as the starter. It really should have been Cyl, but I was having trouble making that work, and none of the other four established Omnys really fit the bill, either, and starting off with Domina would have been too outside of the box. Ergo, Megan ended up being chosen for the role. In part, it worked as a way to force myself to move forward, helping solidify the idea that this would be a nice direction by making myself commit to the unexpected choice.

Even still, her dynamic with Domina aside, Megan did feel somewhat redundant. She’s basically still another Shady at the end of the day, and to make her not be that, I’ve had to change her character a bit more to remain as one of the more reclusive Omnys. Despite being a Progenitor, she does not consider herself to be part of the Originals, and thus still has an awkward sense of discomfort being around them. In its own way, this fleshes out the cast a bit more, seeing how they interact with Megan through this minor clash of personalities.

THE DESCENDANTS

These are the Omnys formed directly from the Progenitors as either Mingles or Splinters.

DOMINA

Aliases: none

Created Worlds: Apoclypha

Omny Relations: Megan (Splinter-Sister)

Kinks: Cruel Domination, Pain Infliction, Torture, Destruction

Preferences: Bisexual

Archetypes: Supervillainess, Sociopath, Ruthless Dictator, Demon Queen

Default Appearance: A tall woman of Amazonian proportions, large breasts, fiery red hair, and piercing blue eyes. She usually wears sleek and revealing black evening dress with fancy gold trim.

Pre-Ascension: See Megan’s entry.

Post-Ascension: Domina in the new continuity is determined to defy her destructive destiny of becoming the Devil figure to the other Progenitors Goddesses. She nonetheless feels echoes of the rage and insanity from the Old Canons, despite her attempts to move past them, and so the bitterness never fully went away. She continues to take a frosty, stand-offish attitude towards the other Omnys. She will be civil with them, and she tests the Etiquette less than even Shady, but she would prefer to engage with the other Omnys as little as possible.

This works out well enough, as most of the others would rather keep their distance. Maybe eventually, bridges could be fully mended, but they have eternity to let the baggage slowly fade. Only Shady and Cyl really try to talk to her, Shady for her own amusement, and Cyl only when necessary to address Etiquette violation risks or broader concerns affecting the Omnyverse.

Still, Domina cannot eschew her sadistic, cruel desires, amplified by Megan attempting to become a purer version of her own ideal fantasy self: a divinely beautiful but cruel redheaded dominatrix, who casually used and abused men with no regard for their lives or sanity. To this end, she created the World of Apoclypha, where she places the Created populations in truly horrific conditions. Supplementing this, Domina takes a hint from Shady, and on the rare occasion she does steal a mortal from Earth, she makes sure it’s one who deserves a lifetime in Hell.

As mentioned in Megan’s entry, Domina eventually decided to revert to being her original self, and was surprised to find she actually kind of liked it. Being Domina is an intense experience, and occasionally, she felt the need to cool off. But Megan was not content to merely be her temporary reprieve, and ultimately, she decided to Splinter from Domina. The two maintain a mental connection where they can vicariously provide a balance to one another without having to switch back and forth again.

Domina is counted as one of the Progenitors, since she existed prior to the current Omnyverse, and it was in her form that Megan participated in the Big Bang. As such, Domina considers Megan to be her Splinter, rather than the other way around. Strictly speaking, however, it is more accurate to say she is Megan's Splinter.

Salamando’s Notes: Like Megan, Domina went through several iterations before I finally settled on her current form. At some point, I realized that I had not included a redhead in the core Omny cast, and so of course, I had to include one. I also figured at some point that I ultimately should have an “evil” Omny for the others to oppose, because I am apparently utterly incapable of creating any work of fiction that doesn’t eventually dissolve into superhero adventure tropes.

As mentioned in Megan’s entry, I ended up linking two together, and swapping around the formulas. There was a version where Domina and the other Progenitors were all unintended Splinters of Megan. There was a version where Domina was the final Omny to Ascend, the most powerful Omny of all, and she immediately set out to terrorize the world, causing the battle against the other Omnys. A second version of this actually revealed that the battle against Domina, which involved a few time travel shenanigans, ended up creating a closed loop origin, where once the others finally killed her, Domina’s energies were unleashed across time and space, suffusing random women across Earth. Thus, the Omnys ended up creating themselves in a weird roundabout way, with Domina as the catalyst.

I ultimately felt this was all rather too hokey, and when I wrote the current version of the Omnyverse, Domina ended up defying her usual role. Still a raging sadist at heart, she refused to become the outright villain of the setting. It was, for me, an interesting spin to put on the usual dynamic, but I have to admit, it has pretty much defanged Domina as actually being all that relevant. This ultimately also led to Cyl’s discontent with her role as the Omnyverse’s protector. A hero isn’t a hero without a villain to face, and while Cyl would never wish to force such a role on someone else just to fulfill her own sense of purpose, Domina taking herself out of the picture really left Cyl with nothing substantial to fight against. Which Domina probably finds amusing, that choosing not to be Cyl’s enemy actually makes things worse for the other Omny in some way. Of course, Cyl mitigated that problem by leaving the Omnyverse to find adventure, so such satisfaction was short-lived.

In something of a nod to past projects, I also decided that this version of Domina was most inspired by an old character of mine called Magic Lina. Megan adores the idea of Lina, a sadistic redhead who uses her psychic control over the body and mind to use and abuse men for her pleasure. Domina is basically Magic Lina with Omny powers, and her sadism dialed up all the way.

Domina also takes some cues from Queen Kazyr of the Sex Mage World, an immensely powerful Megami-class Sex Mage who uses her power for gruesome, pain-filled torture and mutilation. I never really got to use Kazyr in anything, since that kind stuff really isn’t my thing. But as the Demon Queen of Apoclypha, Domina has gone full Kazyr on the mortals there. Thankfully, she keeps that practice contained there; Domina may not really be that into actually torturing people. It may just be a sort of escalation effect, where she can see just how far she can push things, just because she can. It’s not the pain of others that thrills her, precisely, as her ability to hurt them and not be able to do anything about it is an extreme way to bask in her power.

DEMI

Aliases: Colika, Brave Knight Sir Demi, Pyre Girl

Created Worlds: none

Omny Relations: Lettie (Mingle Mother), Devi (Mingle Mother), Wyllow (Lover), the Five (core member)

Kinks: Vanilla, Size Changing

Preferences: Bisexual

Archetypes: Chill Girl, Down to Earth, Good Company, Nice Girl

Default Appearance: A half-Indian, half-American girl, a little petite, with brown eyes and long black hair often tied into a large braid. For a time, she liked to wear lacy one-piece teddies, usually yellow in color, as her main outfit, but eventually switched to a yellow blouse and black tights as her main look. She also has a red bindi on her forehead.

Post-Creation: Demi is a surprising balance of between both of her mothers; whereas Lettie can be manic and Devi can be domineering, Demi is a laid back, level-headed girl who just likes to be with people, share pleasure, and bring good vibes. The bindi she wears on her head is not just for fashion, but something of a mark of humility, to remind herself that just being powerful doesn’t make one a god. Likewise, she chose her name in part to be somewhat humble; “demi” means half, so it’s a pun on being half of each of her mothers, instead of fluffing her own ego about being both of them combined.

Demi is always available for sex, but she’s just as happy hanging out, watching movies, going on walks, and talking for hours with her lovers. She will use her powers for some extra fun, but she makes a point to never overwhelm her mortal partners.

As a Mingle, Demi has the combined memories of her parents, but she sees the world in a new light through this blend. As such, she combines a youthful appreciation for getting to re-experience the world through fresh eyes, while already having a level of wisdom and level headedness beyond either of her mothers.

Demi also quickly paired up with fellow Mingle Wyllow, becoming the first real romantic couple among the Omnys. The two have become almost inseparable sense, with Demi acting as either partner or foil to Wyllow as they engage in Wyllow’s elaborate adventure roleplays.

Salamando’s Notes: Demi came about as I was searching for reference images for Devi. I stumbled across an image of an Indian nude model who was gorgeous, but was a bit too young and cheerful looking to match Devi’s more mature, cool demeanor. Later, I toyed around in Honey Select 2 making a new model, and new at once I wanted to make this girl a new character.

I was debating having her be a Splinter of Devi trying out a very different personality, but that didn’t really seem to fit. Around the same time, I had come up with the idea of Mingles, and decided to instead use Demi to explore that concept, settling on her being Lettie and Devi’s daughter. Thus Demi holds the distinction of being the first.

WYLLOW

Aliases: the Vermillion Vampress, the Silver Enchantress, the Crimson Dragon, the Scarlet Viper, the Snow Queen, Master Gal

Created Worlds: Supervania

Omny Relations:  Cyl (Mingle Mother), Whitney (Mingle Mother), Demi (Lover), the Five (core member)

Kinks: Roleplaying, Shapeshifting

Preferences: Bisexual

Archetypes: Geek Girl, Cool Girl, Superhero, Monster Girl, Adventuress, Sexy Vampire

Default Appearance: Half-Korean, half-French, pale skin, platinum blond hair in twin tails. Wears a white sleeveless blouse and short red skirt with matching sneakers. Her eyes are a rich crimson, softly glowing, with the pupil’s slit like a vipers.

Post-Creation: Wyllow is a sweet girl with a thirst for thrills, but also a carrying side. Combining Whitney’s love of games with Cyl’s adventurous spirit, Wyllow is very playful, but she also willing to step up when she needs to be responsible. She lacks Cyl’s spiritual malaise about wanting to be heroic, fully accepting that the Omnyverse was set up to be what it is, warts and all, for the sake of a stable balance between the Omnys. So, when she feels the call to adventure, Wyllow instead devotes that largely towards elaborate roleplays of high-fantasy adventure!

She quickly fell into a romantic relationship with Demi. When engaged in normal social situations, Wyllow is more the flirt, while Demi plays things more sly. However, Wyllow has also roped Demi into her adventure games, where she acts the wilder adventuress to Demi’s stalwart hero, or even plays the role of the villain for Demi to face down. Such adventures often resemble parodies of popular fantasy books, movies, video games, etc., and Wyllow has created many temporary worlds to facilitate this, eventually combining them all into a hodge-podge mixture for a permanent land of adventure.

Salamando’s Notes: Wyllow exists because as soon as I thought of Demi, I of course started brainstorming other Mingle possibilities. Sadly, there isn’t much to say about her past that. Initially, she was going to be a demure, but quietly strong girl that Demi was going to be sort of a big sister to, but that was boring. Moreover, I felt like Cyl had been done a little dirty by me in how she became too serious of a character, and Wyllow was sort of a way to try and do “Cyl if she could fully embrace the fun of adventure, instead of wallowing in the pathos.”

The trouble with having Wyllow and Demi be these high-adventure roleplayers doing cheeky parodies of popular fantasy novels and games is that I actually have zero interest in writing cheeky parodies where the girls just roleplay genre tropes. Like, I can sort of picture a couple of funny scenes from it, and I think it’s a very fun thing for the characters, but I’m not in anyway prepared to dedicate time and energy to writing novels worth of schlock just to see if I can squeak out a few cheeky character breaking banter scenes. Moreover, it completely guts any sense of investment for me if the girls are going on a thrilling adventure, and there aren’t any actual stakes aside from how entertained the girls can be. I’m sure a better, more comedy inclined writer could dig up a goldmine of material from this premise, but I’m not that writer.

JAX

Aliases: none

Created Worlds: none

Omny Relations: Shady (Splinter-Sister), Megan (Lover), Cyl (Lover), the Five (core member)

Kinks: Vanilla, Exhibition, Switch

Preferences: Bisexual

Archetypes: Handsome Stud, Considerate Lover, Responsible Sibling

Default Appearance: A fit and handsome African-American man, usually dressed in shorts and tee-shirts, or sometimes just a speedo when he wants to show off.

Jax also sometimes takes on a female form, for sleeping with straight men or indulging in lesbian fun. Rather than simply look like Shady again, female Jax takes a similar, but distinct look, perhaps like a slightly older sister to her.

Post-Creation: Jax was initially created by Shady almost as a joke, out of both frustration that she couldn’t convince other Omnys to Mingle with her, and out of curiosity to experiment. Shady had taken male form to have sex before, but she’d never considered that form to be distinct from herself, not until she deliberately decided to Splinter.

The effect was almost immediate, once committed to. Although Jax has Shady’s sarcastic wit, he has his own charisma, and his self-actualization cooled off much of that wild side as he was forced to really grapple with being the first male Omny, in a world designed to facilitate femdom fantasies. Moreover, there are aspects of masculinity that Jax has  begun to acclimate to. While he doesn’t try to push any sort of patriarchal authority on the Omnys, he does find himself feeling a duty of responsibility towards the Omny community. He’s come to fulfill a brotherly role for his Splinter Sister, and being a guy the other Omnys can depend on.

Salamando’s Notes: Despite the hard rule that only women could be Omnymphotent, I of course can’t set any rules without eventually defying them for variety’s sake. In this case, though, it’s an easy loophole, since Jax is a deliberate gender-swap experiment for Shady.

There’s not a lot to say about him otherwise, except that pondering how I would actually develop Jax further, I decided to embrace the idea that as a man, he’s falling into positive masculine stereotypes in contrast to Shady’s more self-serving pushiness. He can connect to Cyl in ways Shady really can’t, and he’s the only Omny who’s really been able to get Megan to open up. For all the Omnys are a femdom concept, there’s something to be said for introducing a male character they can’t simply overwhelm, and it causes a shift in the dynamic.

Of course, the temptation could be for the Omnys to all make masculine alter egos, and certainly they have all taken male form to experiment with sex from that angle, but it remains to be seen if any of them decide to fully Splinter another male. If nothing else, though, Jax could probably use another guy to hang out with, so there’s probably bound to be at least one more male Omny down the line.

OPAL

Aliases: Oshadia, the Azure Angelz

Created Worlds: none

Omny Relations: Shady (Mingle Mother), Osha (Mingle Mother)

Kinks: Sex and Music, Tease and Delay

Preferences: Fully Bisexual

Archetypes: Punk Rocker, Cool Girl, Knows What She Wants, Fucks To The Beat

Default Appearance: A tall, fit black woman, with royal blue hair, dark amber eyes. Usually dresses in a black jacket and pants, with a red top.

Post-Creation: Opal was formed when Shady finally managed to make a Mingle of her own, combining with Osha. Despite a little trepidation that a multi-generational Mingle might end up with an unbalanced mixture over-weighted towards her Progenitor side, Osha’s personality still lent a hefty amount of influence.

Like her fellow Mingles, Opal seems to be a fairly well-balanced individual, the combination of Shady’s wicked impulses, and Osha’s more light-hearted pranksterism resulting in a woman who is usually content to vibe with the moment, but when she wants something, she doesn’t beat around the bush. She’s broadly respectful of most people’s autonomy and consent, being respectful of most mortals’ concerns, but if she decides she wants a person, she is going to have them.

One of the first hobbies Opal picks up is an interest in music, and within a few months of her creation, she takes on an identity as a whole punk rock band, Azure Angelz, taking on multiple bodies in multiple guises, all with various shades of blue hair, to perform in smaller to middle-sized venues around the world.

Salamando’s Notes: Like RoseGold before her, Opal was another cutting-room-floor model that I’d been considering adding to the cast before my first attempt to end the series. At the time, though, I didn’t really have any idea for the character, and decided to drop her as I was trying to wrap things up. However, once I started writing new Omny stories again, I found an opportunity for Opal to come in as a Mingle, even setting it up ahead of time during the RoseGold origin story.

Of course, this just means that right as I finally got the cast rounded up to fifteen, Opal immediately bumps the cast up to sixteen, knocking me off the five-factor number theme. So now, I guess I’m obligated to try and get the cast up to twenty-five! Not that I couldn’t do it easily if I actually wanted to, but as I’ve already lamented in other notes, the cast is already big enough, with a lot of characters barely getting any air time as it is. So, no further plans for future characters just yet. But since this series keeps meandering along, I guess there’s no saying never again when it comes to future entrants!

Incidentally, Opal’s addition now gives Shady the distinction of currently being the only Omny who has both a Splinter and a Mingle to her name, as well as Shady and Osha being the first Progenitor-New Ascended pairing. So, that’s neat.

THE NEXT ASCENDED

The conditions of the Omnyverse are such that eventually, wholly new and independent women start to achieve Ascend! For now, the process is occurring at a slow trickle, but no one knows the upper limit, if there is any, for how many future Omnys may emerge!

KAT

Aliases: none

Created Worlds: Paramour Powers/Lirio de Fogo

Omny Relations: none

Kinks: Sensual Sadism, Tease and Denial

Preferences: Straight

Archetypes: Sexy Classmate, Salacious Psychic, Firm But Fair Mistress

Default Appearance: A fit Caucasian-American woman with jet black long hair, fair skin, and bright green eyes. She wears blue jeans and a white tee-shirt.

Pre-Ascension: The Omnyverse version of Kat is a reincarnation of Kat from the World of Civero, retroactively added into the Omnyverse and incorporated as a natural citizen. Unlike all other Omnys so far, she originates from Thrae, and already had supernatural powers as an Esper, enabling her to read and manipulate minds.

A relatively guarded young woman, she had a secret sadistic streak, which she only managed to fully embrace when meeting a young man named Ben who had an equally powerful masochistic streak. They formed a trusting BDSM relationship, and learned much about themselves in the process, until Ben had to leave for a job in another country. This almost exactly parallels their lives in Civero, aside from the background details of being on a different fantasy world.

Post-Ascension: Kat, upon Ascending, examined the Omnyverse and discovered its true nature, realizing she was a fictional character, and realizing an Avatar of her Author existed on Thrae. She confronted him and they came to an understanding about one another. Afterwards, she sought out Ben and took him back as her submissive.

Kat prefers to be monogamous, but realistically can’t be. Initially, she was somewhat guarded and preferred to keep to herself, still uncertain of her position as an Omny. Eventually, however, she opened up more to some of the others, and while she still tends to mostly keep to herself, she’ll occasionally hang out with the other Omnys, particularly the Mingles.

Salamando’s Notes: I knew I wanted at least one of my older erotica characters to be counted among the Omnys, and Kat was the natural choice. She is actually a very old character I’ve used in several genre fiction projects before doing an erotica version, so I’m rather attached to her just from her living in my head for decades before the Omnys came around. I did feel uncertain about including her at first because of that, but given how hard the series ended up leaning on the Meta aspect of things, it turned out to be a pretty natural choice.

The initial plan for Kat was that she was going to be a Created, a Story Girl specifically, in which she would be manifested, along with several other women, from one of my own stories for one of Whitney’s sex games. Afterwards, she would be given the option to persist if she wanted, and set up to be given a life on Thrae or another Omny World. When she Ascended, I planned for it to be a huge deal, because the idea of a Created managing to Ascend on her own was completely unheard of. I couldn’t quite make that version of the story come together, though, and also, I had already established in Metafucktional Miracle that the Omnys had already reincarnated all my erotica characters into the new universe, so I realized there should already be a Kat running around. So, while still an exception, it wasn't entirely out of line with what had been established.

REIGNBEAU

Aliases: none

Created Worlds: none

Omny Relations: Cyl (Sister-In-Arms, Lover), the Five (core member)

Kinks: Aggressive Sex, Light Teasing, Vanilla

Preferences: Bisexual

Archetypes: Warrior Woman, Superhero, Cool Girl, Tomboy

Default Appearance: A fit German young woman with fair skin, pink eyes, and rainbow colored hair. Usually wears jeans and a denim jacket over a white shirt.

Post-Appearance: Reignbeau debuts into the Omnyverse during Cyl’s absence, and one of the first things she does is lay out Domina, seemingly determined to beat her to death. The other Omnys run interference, but it isn’t until Cyl arrives and defeats her in battle that Reignbeau calms down. Ultimately it comes out the Reignbeau was trying to bring Domina to justice for crimes committed in the Old Canon.

That’s when everyone realizes that unlike the rest of them, the mysterious rainbow haired woman didn’t Ascend and isn’t a Descended from the others. She simply appeared in the Omnyverse, as if formed from nothing. Reignbeau seems to have memories of a past canon which not even the Omnys themselves can recall, almost as if this new woman comes from a discarded continuity entirely separate from the ones they left behind in the reset.

Once she gets her bearings and things are hashed out, Reignbeau calms down, apologizes, and acclimates to the group, settling into the current Omnyverse. She eagerly joins Cyl as a member of the Five, and joins her on her multiversal jaunts when she realizes there isn’t much righteous ass-kicking to do in the Omnyverse as it exists.

Salamando’s Notes: The initial inspiration for Reignbeau was simply that I have a small collection of images of women with rainbow hair, and I wanted to include such a woman in the cast.

Because I had nothing else going on with her, other than she was a kick-butt hero type, I thought it would be cool to make something lore-breaking about her. Once again, I set up the world to function a certain way, and my speculative fiction geared mind wants to break the status quo for the sake of intrigue.

By this I mean, of course, the Reignbeau is an entirely new character created post-reset, meaning there is no way she could be from a discarded Old Canon, except by way of a metafictional retcon. She exists in-universe because I wanted her to, reminding the Omnys that despite the fact that a self-insert of me exists in their world, the True Author still remains at the keyboard.

ILLIA

Aliases: none

Created Worlds: Hush Mountain

Omny Relations: Whitney (Lover)

Kinks: Scarousal, Creepy Sexy

Preferences: Bisexual

Archetypes: Crazy In Bed And Out, Stalker, Creepy Seductress, Erotically Insane

Default Appearance: A Hispanic woman with brown skin, long scraggily black hair, glowing green eyes. She dresses in sheer black lingerie.

Pre-Ascension: Illia was an insane woman who was captured and put into sexual slavery by a Mexican cartel, and spent many months abused and drugged and beaten. Her days were spent chained inside a cell, kept barely alive enough to be of use, and frequently slipping in and out of crazed fuge states. She would have died if not for the fact that, after being rendered unconscious from a particularly brutal assault, she Ascended.

Post-Ascension: Illia immediately took revenge on her abusers, eradicating the branch of the cartel that had used her in a bloody massacre. This got the attention of the Shady, who swiftly stepped in to investigate. However, Illia backed down immediately, knowing the importance of the Etiquette, and agreeing to abide by it from there.

Unsure of what to do with herself, Illia spent a brief time on Apoclypha, where she could torture the Created mortals and captured Earthly criminals to vent her more savage urges. Eventually, however, she created her own World of Hush Mountain, where she mostly sequesters herself, luring in people from Earth that she can punish or play with in erotic horror scenarios. Despite her horror theme, she doesn’t want to really hurt innocent people, but likes to facilitate their dark fantasies. Despite Ascension curing her insanity, she still settles naturally into playing creepy mad woman.

Since becoming an Omny, however, Illia has also had a fascination with Ascension itself, dedicating herself to studying its mechanics, and running experiments to see if it can be manipulated.

Salamando’s Notes: Illia came about partly from messing with 3D model designs again, and a feeling that since I had already made Mingles from four of the Progenitors, it almost felt like I had to follow through and give Shady a Mingle as well. But in writing her attempts to find someone to Mingle with, no one seemed right. Originally the plan was to Mingle Shady and Domina, but when I let the scene play out, it seemed more natural that Domina would reject her. Likewise, Megan didn’t want to, and neither did Kat. So there just wasn’t a match for it.

More to the point, Illia had that crazy girl look, and I thought it would be interesting if an actual lunatic ended up Ascending. But I also didn’t want to just do a repeat of Domina or do a worse version of Shady. I thought it might be interesting if Ascension actually fixed her mental ailments, but her personality was still twisted in some way. “Being crazy” is kind of just what she knows.

Since first writing this entry, Illia has come to surprise me. I initially didn’t think I’d use her hardly at all, but like Cyl, she ended up having some personal conflicts that lent to several stories in the series that not only developed her character, but really dug into the deeper mechanics behind Ascension, causing me to realize serendipitous connections through the series in hindsight. She ended up quite the dark horse character for a bit.

OSHA

Aliases: Wood Goddess

Created Worlds: none

Omny Relations: Reingbeau (Lover), Lettie (Lover), RoseGold (Lover)

Kinks: Erotic Roleplay

Preferences: Bisexual

Archetypes: Cheeky Friend, Cool Girl, Whimsical Spirit

Default Appearance: A Melanesian young woman with dark skin, blond hair, dark amber eyes, and a fit figure with a sizable bust. She prefers lime green as her dominant color scheme, usually wearing only an oversized shirt, or a short dress, and a pair of green panties. She’ll alternate between barefoot and fashionable shoes.

As the Wood Goddess, she makes herself a little taller and curvier. She gains a pair of dark brown goat horns and her eyes glow a burning amber color. Green lines appear on her body as a series of mystical tattoos that curve around her body. She retains her preference for lime-green clothes, but wears skimpier and more exotic tops that leave her shoulders bare, with only a loose loincloth covering her lower half at most.

Pre-Ascension: Osha was a perfectly average young woman living in the Philippines with her adopted family. Her backstory is not particularly noteworthy; being born into a world already starting to benefit from Cyl’s Earth Reformation Program, Osha lived a pretty comfortable life with her family and boyfriend.

One interesting fact is that her Ascension was seemingly artificially triggered. Upon taking a silly survey on her smart-phone, she suddenly triggered into Ascension when she dozed off a few minutes later on that lazy afternoon. This was done as an experiment by Illia to see if the phenomenon of Ascension could be directly guided to trigger, rather than waiting for it to randomly happen. Osha was specifically chosen because she was a pleasant and amiable girl, unlikely to rock the boat when empowered. Osha was one of several women thusly tested, but was the only one who Ascended, thus leading to inconclusive results; at most, the test may have simply bumped up the timing on her Ascension, but it’s very likely she would have done so anyway, or the timing was a complete coincidence.

Post-Ascension: Osha is a happy-go-lucky girl who loves to give and share pleasure, hang out, and go on whimsical adventures. Presently, she keeps a general low-profile, not really wishing to rock the boat of the Omny’s situation. So far, she maintains an active mortal social life with her family and lovers, and occasionally traipses around the more fantastical Omny Worlds in her Wood Goddess form.

Salamando’s Notes: Osha is yet another character created from simply messing around with character creators in Honey Select and Koikatsu until I made a model that I was smitten enough with the design to want to make a character out of her. Osha gave me the impression of a girl who just likes to have fun, and isn’t overly concerned with the bigger dynamics of the Omnymphotents’ situation.

I guess there’s not a lot else to say about her. I debated having her be an alternate identity to another Omny, but honestly, that whole idea of the Omnys having dozens to hundreds of alternate identities ended up falling off pretty hard, at least within the series where they’re mainly interacting with one another. I just like making wholly new characters, even if I initially don’t know much what to do with them.

Funny enough, Osha was almost the last Omny to make it to the roster, as I initially ended the series right after her debut. Fortunately for her, I ended up coming back to give her more air time.

ROSEGOLD

Aliases: Ryoko, Rose and Gold, Ryo and Ko

Created Worlds: EroTokyo

Omny Relations: Osha (Lover)

Kinks: Multi-Body Sex, Good Cop/Bad Cop Roleplay

Preferences: Bisexual

Archetypes: Good Cop/Bad Cop, Split Personality, Calm Side/Wild Side

Default Appearance: A Japanse woman with pale skin, dressing in a white pantsuit and high heels. She almost always operates in two bodies, one with pink hair and golden irises (Rose) and one with golden hair and pink irisis (Gold). Rose’s outfit is properly worn, while Gold wears hers more loose and open.

Occasionally, she may split off new bodies with different hair and eye color combinations. In the rare times she might have cause to only have one body, she will default to jet black hair with one gold iris and one pink iris.

Pre-Ascension: Ryoko was an overworked business woman who had a wild sexual side to her during college, which was eventually suppressed and pushed aside throughout her professional career. By age thirty, she was sick of being an office grunt, blocked from numerous promotions, and no longer able to have much of a social life.

However, she soon met Osha, who opened up a world of fantastical erotic adventure, once a month going on whirlwind fuckfests across several Worlds in the Omnyverse. To help her balance her normal life in between visits, Osha even Empowered Ryoko with the ability to duplicate herself to better juggle multiple tasks and rotate days off from her job.

However, Ryoko became obsessed with wanting more power, to be free from her mortal life, even as her supernatural erotic experiences made her lustful side harder to keep under control. Soon, all Ryoko wanted was to become a sex goddess herself! Osha refused to just make her one, but eventually, the Omny gave her the opportunity to achieve her wish, roping her into the Contest of Climaxes. Ryoko won her session of the Contest, and it turned out her whole erotic journey up to that point was set up by Osha, on Illia’s request, to see if they could direct the force of Ascension through setting up an “Origin Story” for Ryoko’s empowerment. It ended up working out, but they still don’t know what truly makes Ascension tick.

Post-Ascension: Ryoko took her transformation in stride, and immediately used her powers to separate her formal and reserved side and her wild horny side into two separate bodies. However, this is not a Splintering; rather Ryoko, now calling herself RoseGold after her hair-color scheme, is most comfortable operating in multiple bodies, primarily the Rose and Gold forms, and compartmentalizing her two halves into them. She is one mind, operating two bodies at once, multitasking her responses to any given situation.

She likewise created a World of her own almost immediately, having already had a strong idea for one well before she Ascended. For now, Ryoko has settled well into the Etiquette, but where she stands is a bit of a mystery. Not overly concerned with being a helpful goddess, but not overly cruel in her erotic pursuits, she takes a cool neutral stance on most Omny matters, and tends to allow moral dilemmas to sort themselves out rather than impose her own values into a situation without being asked.

Salamando’s Notes: At the time of this writing, I am supposed to be “retired”* from writing erotica, but those quotes and asterisk are there for a reason. And the reason is the Omnymphotents! Despite choosing to end the series right after Osha’s debut, I found I still had some story hooks for the Omnys left over that I decided I did want to write after all. Among those were some ideas for Omny characters that ended up on the cutting room floor for one reason or another before I ended the series. Most of them I left off just due to either not liking the design at the time, or feeling they’d be too repetitive. RoseGold was one such character, but after looking back over the 3D concept art I made, I started thinking that I wish I’d included her after all. The idea of an Omny whose gimmick was to operate in two or more bodies at all times was just distinct enough to set her apart from the rest. Also, I did wish I had at least gotten the Omny cast numbers up to fifteen, just due to factors of five being a numeric theme of mine in some of my works.

Naturally, it took a long time to finally figure out how to get the character concept to work into the canon, especially considering I still don’t really want to keep writing erotica stories. The Omnys are the only exception just because I like the characters, and the eroticism at this point is of secondary or less concern to just having fun scenes with the cast. But I also can’t really escape that eroticism, given the nature of the series, so it is what it is.

NOTABLE OTHERS

The Omnymphotents are not, of course, the only beings of note in the Omnyverse. Grandymphotents, Empowered, and Created make their homes across the myriad Worlds, and Visitants From Beyond may sometimes cross over from other realities. Most of these are not really worth documenting since they are side characters to the Omnys’ exploits, but a few are of particular note.

SALAMANDO

Aliases: Salamando Flames, Sal, Wander

Kinks: Supernatural Femdom

Omny Alignment: All

Empowerment: Divinely enhanced health, stamina, and durability. Can instantly teleport himself and anything he’s carrying/touching to anywhere across the Omnyverse. Can create portals to transport other beings and objects as well. Has a personal “storage space” dimension from which he can summon or de-summon various objects. Mild extra-sensory perception of supernatural phenomenon.

Has also been granted a custom World of his own called Salstead, which is a fully self-sufficient small mountain village, staffed by generic assistants. Sal can come and go there through his own power, as well as grant people enchanted keys that enable them selective portal access.

Archetypes: Frustrated Writer, Curmudgeonly Creator, A Bit Unhinged, Living the Dream, Bitch of the Harem

Appearance: Although middle-aged, Sal’s body has been restored to that of a man in his early twenties, fit and healthy. He has red hair and blue eyes. He usually wears slacks and tee-shirts, and occasionally sports a cloak or long coat, with a wide-brimmed hat.

Pre-Abduction: Salamando Flames is the pseudonym of an obscure erotica writer on the internet who focuses on particularly niche forms of supernatural femdom. His personal life is not particularly noteworthy. He holds himself to a fluctuating standard of creative success that brings him as much self-inflicted misery as it does fulfillment.

During a particularly dour period of frustration induced self-loathing, he attempted to forcibly restart one of his languishing and indecision-crippled series, The Omnymphotents. The result was something he was not expecting, and to this day, he is dealing with the consequences.

Post-Abduction: Salamando’s latest attempt to do a fresh start on the series spiraled out of control when the Omnymphotents themselves decided they were sick of his bullshit, and decided to hi-jack their own narrative. Megan, being the starting Omny in this latest attempt, overrode his planned story by reaching through the fourth wall and kidnapping Salamando right out of his own reality, and dragging him into his story! She locked him in a pocket dimension to be raped by Sex Mage versions of all his female erotica characters, and from there, she and the other Omnys reset the Omnyverse through the Big Bang.

A few weeks later, Cyl visited Sal and forced the Sex Mages to back off, but left him in the prison dimension for a while longer. Eventually, however, she came back and set him free, reconfiguring the small town dimension into a comfortable home village that he had total authority over, and granted him the power of interdimensional teleportation.

Since then, Salamando has simply traveled the Omnyverse, occasionally writing when he can get his brain to cooperate, but otherwise just bumming around without much to do. He is occasionally visited by the Omnys for various reasons, each one having their own interests in him that vary from intellectual curiosity to wellness check ups to playing games to pestering him for a laugh to roping him into some ridiculous escapade. Invariably, most of these visits will end in sex, consent optional.

Initially after being set free, he was open game for any Omny to kidnap and use him whenever they wanted, with the caveat that no single Omny could keep him for too long. Ergo, the nice Omnys couldn’t protect him full time, while the mean Omnys couldn’t trap him forever. This continued for quite some time, until eventually Cyl negotiated for him to finally be claimed fully by herself and Kat. Now, Sal is more free to move around without getting jumped at random, but depending on the Omny in question, he is still at their mercy if he enters one of their Worlds, or circumstances push him into making a deal with them.

Even with his circumstances improved, Sal has a difficult time embracing the idea of living in what should ostensibly be a paradise for him. Part of him still thinks there’s something fundamentally fucked up about completely disappearing completely into one’s own personal fantasy world, that it’s a sign the Author may one day lose his mind, continuing to indulge in such solipsistic storytelling. And what fate awaits those worlds whose creators have gone insane?

Well, nothing he can really do about it but wait and see, and keep on living the dream in the meantime.

Salamando’s Notes: Putting myself in these stories was, of course, a bit of a self-deprecating joke, born of my excessive frustration at how difficult it is for me to actually get my story ideas down on the page. I could just imagine the Omnys, being omnipotent, being fully aware of my constant indecision about them, and getting so sick of my bullshit, they reach through the fourth wall to yank the keyboard out of my hands and take the wheel themselves.

This thought, of course, lead to the current form of the Omnyverse as, desperate to write literally anything, I just decided to say, “fuck it, why not?” I have always had a soft spot for stories in which authors and artists somehow meet their characters and worlds, and the Omnymphotents, with their cosmic powers and awareness, could easily accommodate that sort of thing without it even being out of character.

The initial idea really was to just have myself tossed into a pocket dimension to be Sex Magically raped forever and never heard from again. But as I kept writing, improvising as I went, Cyl in particular kept developing, and I couldn’t justify her as the “heroic” Omny just leaving “me” to rot in sex prison. After all, she’s the one who rescued me and gave me the pep talk in the Prelewd Comic. And so, thanks to Cyl, Sal ended up a free roaming character wandering around the Omnyverse.

Somewhat to my chagrin, I did find myself falling back on “Omny hangs out with Sal” as an easy hook for several stories, but it quickly got to feeling awkward, because as amusing as the banter between Sal and the Omnys can be, after the first couple times, it really does feel like I’m crossing a line into some form of auto-erotic narcissism. It just feels kind of cringe to keep writing about how these omnipotent women totally all want my dick, and by the way guys, did you know I still struggle to write, let me whinge about it for three pages to my Dubious Cosmic Harem until they shut me up with hypermagical blowjobs.

As of updating this page, though, Sal’s been developing away from being my direct Avatar, taking on a different name in his mortal life, encountering new Omnys that he never created, and just overall finally acclimating to being a superhuman in a land of adventure, with tons of experiences I’ll never have making him feel like he’s his own character now, not just a self-insert representation anymore. I’d still rather he stay more of a background character, though.

DON JOE

Aliases: none

Kinks: Vanilla

Omny Alignment: Cyl

Empowerment: Divinely enhanced health, stamina, and durability.

Other Benefits: Has been gifted a Created partner in the form of a Silk, a sentient mass of black silk that can reconfigure herself into various shapes. He has access privileges to Cyl’s Worlds, and can utilize the native magic of whatever world he is in.

Archetypes: Average Joe, Kind And Strong, Blue Collar, Goes With The Flow

Appearance: A fit, blond haired mid-western American man in his early thirties. Wears casual outfits.

Mortal Life: Don Joe lived a pretty average life, to the point of being a pretty solid everyman. He’s a good guy, but has nothing remarkable going on. He’s been married and divorced already, and lived on his own for a couple years, before Cyl suddenly appeared in his life.

Don has taken her appearance in stride, but has not let his relationship with her go to his head. Moreso than most Omnys and their Playthings, he and Cyl have developed a solid friendship, and Cyl has even divulged more about the nature of the Omnyverse to him than most mortals get to know.

Salamando’s Notes: If there is one thing I do regret about doing the reset of the series is that it basically kicked Don Joe out of relevance. The earliest version of the series concept was set to be almost entirely from the viewpoint of the Playthings and the Empowered, with the Omnymphotents being these mysterious and dubious entities, almost more like erotic forces of supernature than actual people.

While the series wouldn’t follow Don closely, he was supposed to take the role of Truth Seeker for the project. For those of you who remember the original version of the setting articles, those were supposed to be written as informal research documents and informative articles by Don Joe himself to the wider PlayNet. I kind of miss that tone, as it lent a bit more personality to them as being almost like little story segments in and of themselves, as we follow Don trying to piece together the puzzle of who and what the Omnys are. In a way, this was also sort me tracking my ideas as I came up with them, so Don’s continued research into the Omnys sort of mirrored my continued development.

Of course, that basically went out the window as I decided I actually did want to make a real cast of characters out of the Omnymphotents, and the series focus shifted to them. While I suppose I could have tried repeating the “Don Joe, Omny Secrets Detective” angle, it really just seemed pointless since some of the major conceits of that hinged on aspects of the Omnys that are no longer canon.

Oh, well. Don still serves as a good mortal anchor for Cyl, and while I’m not sure how many more appearances he’ll make, it’s worth noting that she made sure to rejoin him in the renewed timeline.

DIDSY

Aliases: Didsy Dolopia, Master of Tomes (retired), Priestess of Hares (temporary)

Kinks: Vanilla

Omny Alignment: Lettie

Empowerment: Divinely enhanced health, stamina, and durability.

Demihuman Physiology: Twenty times stronger than a human, enhanced senses.

Multi-Magus Blessing: able to learn the native magics of Omny Worlds, and retain them outside of those worlds. She requires sex to recharge a magic outside of its native world.

Magics learned so far: String Magic (Cloth Land), Phallimagery (Thrae/multiple), Yonimagery (Thrae/multiple), Fire Magic (Immernacht), Beast Morph: Jaguar (Aztlazon), Healing Magic (Aztlazon), Blade Magic (Supervania), Natural Flight (Palatial Skies), Sky Magic (Palatial Skies), Natural Water Breathing (Aquafel), Tide Magic (Aquafel), Wood Magic (Wood Knot), Rune Crafting (Supervania), etc.

Other Benefits: Upon visiting Cloth Land, Didsy’s outfit obtained sapience and self-animation of her own. She has taken the name Rai (short for raiment), and acts as Didsy’s adventuring partner, as well as her self-repairing outfit. She has natural String Magic that doesn’t require sex to charge, but ironically, she has a higher libido than her master, who does have that requirement.

Archetypes: Scientist, Sorceress, Bookworm, Wayfarer

Appearance: A fit, lithe demihuman woman with orange-red hair, piercing blue eyes, fair skin, white rabbit ears (lopped), and a white rabbit tale. She wears glasses occasionally, and usually wears a blue and white fantasy dress suited for adventuring, a blue beret, and hiking boots. She sometimes wields a wizard’s staff, or has magical books on hand.

Fictional Life: Didsy is a Story Girl, a Created pulled from a video game by Lettie, to satisfy the erotic fantasy of one of her playthings. After fulfilling her duties, Didsy was given the option to continue existing, given a new life in the Omnyverse.

In the original JRPG she’d been pulled from, Radiant Destiny, Didsy was a significant NPC character. As the head librarian in a major hub city, she was the one who helped the Hero Party learn magic by selling them mystic tomes and scrolls, and helping instruct them on their use, so that they could defeat the Demon King. Didsy herself, despite her academic knowledge on the subject, was never able to use magic on her own, lacking the innate spark required that only a small number of people her world possessed. As such, although Didsy wished she could go on the Hero’s adventure, her lack of magical power meant she wouldn’t be able to survive it, and was only able to help from the sidelines. Still, she dutifully accepted her role as an assistant.

Post-Creation: Once Lettie brought Didsy into the Omnyverse, she allowed her to continue existing, granting her the power to learn magic, and setting her loose to explore the Omnyverse. Didsy and Rai have gone on several adventures, mostly in the pursuit of knowledge, but sometimes playing their part to help out natives in trouble, or join other Playthings on their “Realplay” quests (roleplay that involves fully sinking into a character via temporary memory editing to make the game feel as authentic as possible).

Salamando’s Notes: Didsy’s adventures were one of several pre-reset concepts I had to try and better explore the Omnyverse, specifically trying to come up with a narrative reason to go on a tour of the Omny Worlds. The thing about the Omnyverse, especially at the time, was that for as much as I love worldbuilding, given that there really isn’t much actual conflict in the Omny’s personal realities to hang a story on, I had a hard time coming up with stuff for people to do in them that was actually interesting. I even tried reading slice-of-life fantasy manga for inspiration, but those sorts of stories really aren’t my forte. As such, I had all of these Worlds to show off, but no real compelling reason ton use them outside of casually namedropping them.

Moreover, I was still in the mindset that Omnyverse stories must revolve completely around sex somehow, because I thought none of my readers would be interested in a story that wasn’t purely erotic at the core. And maybe that’s still true for most of them, but as I’ve learned in doing this reset, there is much more to the Omnys as characters than just being a bunch of cosmic sluts. As I keep making stories, the sex part is starting to feel almost arbitrary, despite a major part of the concept of an Omny being that they are innately super-horny. I like being able to just let the characters have fun or engage in drama beyond that, though, and let my imagination run wild with their world.

And thus, maybe there’s a place for Didsy’s adventures after all. I still don’t really have enough material to give her a full episodic mini-series like I was hoping, but she’d just be the latest in a very long line of my characters to have that problem. It is what it is.

As for as inspirations go, Didsy ended up being this pretty on-the-nose combination of three specific characters from Japanese fiction: Momo from Breath of Fire III (mainly visually), Meteora from Re:Creators (in being a video game character brought to life, also a magic-teaching NPC in her own game), and Frieren from Sousou no Frieren (in the desire to find and learn various forms of magic just for the fun of it). I didn’t mean for her to be quite so blatant, but hey, one of the Omny Worlds is literally just Minecraft with some slight mods, so there’s probably plenty of knock-off creations all over the Omnyverse.

TEMAEL

Aliases: The Dark God

Created Worlds: Temael

Omny Relations: Progenitors (former enemies, at armistice), Cyl (unwitting mercenary)

Vice: Avarice to collect Living Worlds and Civilizations

Archetypes: Living Universe, Cosmic Horror, Cosmic Devil, Conqueror

Default Appearance: Temael is a universe of pure living darkness, with no real physical form as we would recognize it. It is the very spacetime of Itself. However, It will sometimes manifest great spectral viper eyes, burning crimson, surrounded by a triangular frame. This representation has become Its Mark, which Its followers use liberally in their iconography.

In The Beginning: There was only darkness. And then, at some point, there was awareness. It did not know what It was. It did not know what to think. But It was aware that it was. And for a time, It was all there was to know.

And then, It heard something. Something from beyond Itself. It heard, and It saw, a presence, something that shined and screamed, concepts alien to It. Entranced, It reached forth to grasped at the presence, but found it could not. There was a barrier there, another alien concept. What was this barrier? What was the thing beyond it? What was Itself, in relation to these things? Before It could surmise them, the presence was gone.

Let There Be Light: Eons passed, and It watched and listened, straining to glimpse further cracks in the barrier. All the time, It pondered and wondered and calculated. Until, one day, It saw another presence, shining and screaming like It had seen before. This time it reached, and the presence reached back. And then, finally, the barrier was cracked! Only for a moment, but a moment was enough to drag the mewling thing through.

The presence was a sentient star, a living being of pure, ever-roiling energy, whose energy was about to die out. The darkness felt the stark difference between Itself and this star-being, who begged It for salvation. Not entirely understanding what It was doing, It lent the barest fragment of Itself to the star, and the entity of light and sound blazed and roared like never before!

This was Its First Star, who told the Darkness of the reality it came from, of so many new and fascinating concepts. For a million years, they spoke and dreamed. Eventually, they grew lonely, even together. The Star wished not to risk mortality, but it felt a yearning to see the worlds it left behind. The Darkness wished to see them too, but It knew It could not breach the barriers between dimensions. Moreover, the Darkness began to feel a jealousy that It lacked the creative force to create worlds of Its own. It had tried, to pitiful results. Far more fascinating were the worlds the Star spoke of, especially those teeming with life. And so It decided that if It could not visit other worlds, It would bring the worlds into Itself.

Temael’s Paradox: Over the course of the next million years, the Darkness eventually found a way to communicate through cracks in the barriers between dimensions. One particular reality was especially porous, and It latched onto this timeline, whispering through the dark corners of the universe to influence those who could help It steal worlds. Eventually, inevitably, entire civilizations were convinced or coerced into giving themselves to the Darkness, which one civilization had come to call “Temael”, the Dark Salvation. It adapted the name, and soon, Temael was feared across numerous dimensions, an entity so powerful that even gods could not stand against It.

Temael eventually discovered the reason It could not travel to other realities was because it was Itself a reality, a Living Dimension that could only, at best, slip slivers of Its power into other universes. Even then, It needed assistance from the other side to bring Its power forth. This only fueled Its avarice as the Dark God now wished to populate Itself with a thriving galactic civilization of Its own, to make more of Itself, even if It meant predating on other realities. Those few worlds It could not steal were left shattered in their attempts to resist, and in some cases, the fallout from Temael’s conflicts spread into adjacent realities without It even knowing. One such incident was the unwitting creation of the Sex Mage Multiverse.

The Omny Conflict: In one timeline of the Omnymphotent’s past canons, the Omnys were formed as the ultimate end point of Sex Magic. Across the thousands of timelines of the Sex Mage Multiverse, over a hundred reached a point where Sex Magic crossed a threshold that linked all humanity and fused it into a cosmically powerful gestalt entity. These entities were the Omnymphotents.

Unfortunately, the Sex Mage Multiverse was one such cluster of realities infected by Temael’s Curse. A majority of timelines, if not cured of the infection, would eventually result in the extinction of humanity or the destruction of Earth. Cyl, the first of the Omnys to form, rallied all the Omnymphotents in an effort to try and save the Sex Mage Multiverse from the Curse. She reasoned that the most effective way was to eradicate the problem at the source: to kill Temael.

Together, all the Omnys broke through the barrier to battle Temael, and were almost immediately slaughtered en masse. Only Cyl was able to resist the counter-attack long enough to grab the four Omnys closest to her, and drag the five of them back outside of the Dark God’s reality. Barely making it out alive, Cyl was still branded with the Mark of Temael, which she was not able to remove until the Big Bang reset the Omnyverse from scratch.

Making Amends: Since then, Temael has remained the specter that has haunted the Omnys nightmares, no matter how many times they rebooted themselves seeking a new life. Throughout it all, Temael has kept an eye on them, more out of curiosity than a grudge. After the Big Bang, Cyl eventually reached out to It to try and settle things. After arranging a deal to save the Sex Mage Multiverse and effect an armistice between Its followers and the Omnys, It once again branded Cyl with Its Mark, to never let her forget the influence It had on their history.

Though Temael does not see the Omnys as an equal, It has come to respect them as Creator Gods, and even feels some envy at their capacity for Creation that It lacks. Moreover, upon discovering that one of Its past actions eventually lead to one possible origin for the Omnys, It has come to feel something akin to a distant affection for them, although this is mostly born out of a smugness over the scale of Its influence.

For now, Temael continues to watch the Omnys as an amusing diversion, and continues to watch Cyl in particular. Someday, perhaps, Cyl and the Omnys will join It as favored followers. Or, perhaps, the Omnys will, from a distance, teach Temael something about Creation, and maybe even a bit about compassion. Such things are doubtful, but like the Omnys, Temael is immortal, and who can say what eternity will bring?

Salamando’s Notes: Temael is one example of a simple idea that organically grew in the telling. Initially just a background detail in the World of Civero’s lore, Temael’s presence and influence grew until It became essentially the Ultimate Evil of my entire Erotic Multiverse. Its influence has been felt, either directly or indirectly, in every single world. Its Magic has left incurable scars across reality, Its followers have wreaked havoc across entire planets, and entire galaxies have been swept clean of intelligent life to feed Its unending avarice.

Before, we never directly saw Temael Itself, only the consequences of Its presence. Temael was always to remain unknowable, ineffable, spoken of in awed whispers and choked dread. It was, simply, too grand an entity in scope to shatter the mystery.

And then, the Omnymphotents were created, and suddenly, I had a cast of characters capable of actually rivalling the power of the Dark God. Through the Omnymphotents, we finally get to actually see Temael as a character in the stories. And in the end, Its just another god seeking to satisfy Its own pleasures. Uninterested in sex and singularly self-absorbed, but still just a cosmic hedonist at the core.

While having Temael actually interact on screen with the Omnys might blunt some of the mystery of It, I hope I have still captured just how goddamned terrifying It is, that even the Omnymphotents, women with the power to destroy and create entire realities on whim, rightfully fear Its power and greed. That said, I prefer to keep Temael as mostly a creature of lore that we only see glimpses of, and bearing in mind that Temael in the context of the Omnyverse is also metafictionally aware, we are seeing a slightly different side to It than would be seen in any of my other settings.
