Wrapping Up

Normally, Cyl would have waited for Sal to be alone before going to see him, but his present company was someone she wanted to include in this discussion. Presently, he was in Kat’s femdom fortress in her World of Paramour Powers. The couple were fucking each other’s brains out in her enormous bedroom chamber. Kat had been exempt from his request for a prolonged break from Omny attention, but Cyl was glad to see she was taking it easy on him this time. Even though Sal had given her full consent to use him however she wished, Kat knew the man still wasn’t ready to be run through their usual sensually sadistic ringer. Today, it was just raw, animal sex; she wasn’t even using her powers on him beyond an Omny’s natural tendency to amplify sensations.

Cyl let them go at it until they’d exhausted themselves, then gave them a little more time to cool down and enjoy the after glow. Before they could get out of bed and end their visit, however, Cyl sent a mental heads up to Kat. The black haired Omny was a little surprised, but acquiesced to the meet-up. With a thought, she cleaned herself and Sal up, dressed them both, and relocated them to the sitting room of a cozy cottage in another part of her World.

As Sal and Kat settled on the couch, Cyl appeared next to them, already sitting in the side chair. Sal gave her an amused smile. “So, what great pseudo-philosophies shall we ruminate over this time?”

“Nothing so dramatic as our last talk,” she said. “But I would like to catch you up on a few things.”

“Alright. Fire away.”

“The Earth reforms are underway. New technologies are being incrementally introduced to improve quality of life. Social reforms and economic overhauls are being presented with long-term incentives and fail-safes to prevent corruption. We’re keeping an eye on things and open to adjustment as we go, but probably within the next fifty years, we’re looking at an overall stable, peaceful future for humanity. There’ll be just enough instability to keep things from stagnating, but from this point forward, the vast majority of people shouldn’t find themselves in such dire straights.”

Kat smirked. “Shady thinks we should create some aliens or demons to come invade Earth every once in a while, just to give humanity an enemy to fight to satisfy the need for conflict.”

Cyl sighed. “I’d rather not have to go that route, but if that’s what it takes to keep things from falling apart again, we’ll weigh our options.”

“I shall trust you have things well under control,” said Sal.

“I hope so,” said Cyl. “Which leads me to my next topic: a new Omny appeared just recently. Her name is Osha. She seems a little mischievous, but otherwise nice. But the circumstances of her emergence are potentially dubious. Illia was trying to experiment with the mechanics of Ascension, and while it may be a complete coincidence, Osha was one of her test subjects.”

“How likely of a coincidence do you think it is?” said Sal.

“That’s what I want to ask you,” said Cyl. “You and I talked about this before, but she was worried about the risk of an endless succession of troublesome Ascensions. Either the number of Omnys would grow too large, factions would form, and we’d end up in another war. Or every Ascension from this point on would be some weird exception to the rule that would itself strain the fabric of the Omnyverse. I know it’s been a while since you split off from the Author, and you don’t really communicate with him, but what do you think?”

Sal let out a long breath as he mulled it over. “Honestly? The way he was when he sent me in here? The way he is now, from the glimpses I see? I have no real fucking clue. I can’t predict his creative moods. But what I can say is this: once an idea settles in his head, really settles in his head a certain way, it takes a long while for him to really change things. And at that point, if he’s making radical changes, he then considers it to just be a new project.

“The Omnymphotents is more experimental than most of his works, but by this point, I think you’ve all cemented yourselves pretty well into a definitive canon. You set everything up to have a relatively peaceful world that you all maintain for a mutual benefit. At this point, I don’t think he wants to change that, not even for a cheap desperation move. And if he did decide he wanted to smack the Omnys with another disaster? It’ll be a different timeline’s problem.”

Cyl pursed her lips. “While reassuring for us, I do hope he does not decide to indulge in that last bit.”

Sal gave her a sardonic smile. “Well, I’d say he’s content enough with how things turned out that he’s probably not going to backslide to that kind of stuff again. At least not with you all. But, you know. Can’t rule it out 100%. Maybe just 99%.”

“Hey, you managed to get through all that without insulting yourself,” Kat chimed in with a smile. “Good job.”

“I’m still mellowed out from the sex,” he said. “Give me five more minutes.”

“Even still,” said Cyl. “What do you think is the most likely of the two: an endless stream of Omny women, or a small number each with their own dubious circumstances?”

Sal took a moment to think on it. “Well, he likes to make new characters all the time, and he likes to keep mixing things up. But there’s a limit to how many ways he can make each Omny’s circumstances distinct enough to be narratively interesting, and only so many characters he can pile in before they all just start blurring together. Even going for an ensemble cast, I’d say Illia’s prediction of a smaller number of distinct Omnys is the most likely scenario. I mean, if nothing else, Omnymphotence was never intended to be treated like Sex Magic; sure it could go to any woman, but it was not supposed to be some global phenomenon.”

“Wasn’t Omnymphotence supposed to be the final evolution of Sex Mage Worlds at one point?” said Kat, quirking an eyebrow at Sal.

The white-haired Omny nodded, and pointed to the Mark of Temael that branded her left eye. “Yes. That’s the timeline where this initially came from. Hundreds of nameless Omnys from across the multiverse gathering to kill the Dark God.”

Sal sighed. “Well, yeah, okay, point. But even then, it was one Omny per timeline. And that was before I had a solid idea about any of you.” He paused, then smiled thinly. “Although that was the real beginning of your development. And by extension, defining the rest of the Five.”

“Silver linings,” she said, returning the thin smile.

“Yeah,” said Sal. “Anyway, the point is, each Omny is supposed to be a distinct character unto herself, even if she takes a million different forms on the side. Last I glimpsed his thoughts on the matter, Salamando was already at the point where he felt he was stretching things kind of thin. Outside of any sudden bursts of inspiration, I think we’re already nearing the practical limit.”

He took a second to run the roster of extant Omnys in his head. “Osha makes fourteen, right? Five has always been an important number to him, including factors of five that have five in the number. That’s one reason he made a point to set your original group to Five. Then he came up with Megan and Domina, and that threw things off. But fives tend to be significant.

“If Osha is number fourteen, I would expect at least one more Ascension to ‘round it up’ to fifteen. There’s a high chance that if it continues after that, it’ll go to twenty-five. Maybe, if he opts to keep going after that, he’ll bring it to fifty, but by that point, he’d probably rely on some cop-out plot contrivance to make it happen. Like out of nowhere, twenty-five new Omnys from another Omnyverse show up to compare cup sizes with the twenty-five of you here.”

“Oh, lord,” said Cyl, rolling her eyes.

He shrugged. “Of course, it depends on how far he wants to stretch what qualifies as Omnymphotence, or what qualifies as an exception. Maybe Dellissa finds some way to further empower herself, and transforms herself into an Omny. Maybe Jahi finds her way here and gets juiced up by the sheer sexual power of the place, and becomes an Omny to join Domina’s empire of erotic evil.”

Cyl blinked. “Please tell me you’re joking.”

Sal waved her off. “Only sort of, but I doubt he’s going to actually put all his eggs in the Omny basket. Jahi works best in her own setting. Dellissa going full Omny is basically redundant.” He shrugged. “The highest I see him going for is a solid one hundred, but at that point, he’d probably just say fuck it and start doing cluster-Ascensions to reach it. Like, one of the existing Omnys decides to just multiply your population in one go by doing a mass Grand Blessing or something. But then it’d be back to a bunch of nameless nobody’s that he’d never have the time or inclination to do anything with, so what would be the point?”

“One hundred doesn’t even have a five in it,” Kat pointed out.

“Five hundred and fifty-five then,” he said.

Cyl sighed. “If that many of us show up, we may as well just break off into multiple Omnyverses, each with their own Five.”

“I was joking,” said Sal. “Honestly, you want to talk exceptions to his concepts, that’s one reason the whole idea of you all taking multiple identities never panned out. Every identity distinct enough to write a story around may as well just be a new character.”

“Hence the Splinters,” said Kat.

“Exactly. And the Mingles.” Sal paused. “Have you met them yet?”

“Yeah. They’re nice. I went on a little quest with them. It was fun.”

“Did they try to seduce you into a three-way?”

“No. Why?”

“They always do that to me.”

“Well, you did set yourself up to be our little shared fuck toy.”

“Yes.”

“Which brings us to my other point,” said Cyl. “One more adjustment to the Etiquette, regarding your particular sub-clause.”

Sal blinked. “Oh. Uh. Okay?”

“I don’t think letting you be a sitting duck for all of us indefinitely is all that fair. At the time, it was something of an extended payback, I suppose. Even after you served your time in Megan’s sex prison, most of the others still wanted to personally get back at you a little for putting us through all that trouble.

“But, really, that was between us Progenitors and you, and now that everyone’s pretty well settled in, they’ve mostly gotten it out of their system. Leaving you open to keep getting used and abused by all the newcomers you had nothing to do with making is just gratuitous.”

Sal made a sardonic smirk. “I won’t lie, there’s still part of me that kind of finds the idea hot,” He looked to Kat. “But just one of you is more than enough.”

Kat smirked back, and gave his cock a little psychic pat, making him twitch in his seat. “Whatever. We all know you like it.”

“Up to a point,” he said. “Your other Playthings don’t get chain-banged by ten of you in a row. They only have to worry about one Omny rocking their world every few months or so.”

“Which is why I proposed claiming you officially,” said Cyl. “You’d be marked as taken to the other Omny’s cosmic senses. You’d be free to travel through Earth and Thrae without worrying about getting pounced on or zapped from a range. Now, if you were to go to any of our Worlds, you’d still fall under the influence of that Omny, but they couldn’t trap you there without your Omny’s say-so.”

Kat’s brow furrowed. “So, who’s claiming him, then? You?”

Cyl smiled. “Actually, I’m offering to share claim over him with you.”

Kat blinked. “Oh. We can do that?”

“Certainly. No rule against it. To be blunt, I’m not interested in being his dedicated lover. No offense, Sal. I’m fond of you, but you’re still not my type.”

He let out a laugh. “Yeah. In a weird way, I almost feel like we’re business partners.”

“Idea-bouncers, at least,” said Cyl with a small smile. She looked to Kat again. “Me co-claiming him with you is mostly a rank-pull, I admit. Most of the Progenitors and Descended are fine with leaving him off their ‘to pester’ list, but I can’t promise Shady or Megan might not occasionally push it. They’ll respect the boundary more if you have my backing.”

“Yeah,” said Kat with a frown. She and Megan were still on shaky terms, and Shady was just a button pusher.

“Don’t worry,” said Cyl. “I know you two have a special connection, and I have no intention of getting in between that. That’s why I wanted you here for the discussion.” She paused. “Well, in the times where I’m outside the Omnyverse, my claim defaults to Wyllow. But she’s happy to back you, and she won’t take unfair advantage of the arrangement.”

Kat and Sal shared a glance. “I’m okay with that,” he said.

She smiled. “Yeah. That sounds good.” She hesitated for a moment, then said, “If you still want to fuck some of the other girls occasionally, I’m okay with it, though.”

“You sure?” he said.

“I mean, I’m still with Ben, and I’ve got some other lovers on the side now. Um, other Omny’s Created, but, you know, it counts. Besides, you’ve got your whole wayfarer thing going on, so you’re going to be running into the others at some point as you wander. It’d be a little unreasonable to expect nothing to happen.”

He glanced to Cyl, who shrugged. “If you deliberately put yourself in their hands, or want to make special arrangements with any of the others, that’s on you. This is mainly so you can go about your daily life not having to worry about getting waylaid out of nowhere, or getting chain-banged, as you called it. If the others want to take you unprovoked, though, they have to clear it through us first.”

“Sounds a little too convenient,” said Sal. “I’m expecting a catch.”

Cyl shook her head. “You served your time. And this isn’t one of those stories where everything good has to always come with a terrible cost.”

Sal nodded. “True. I appreciate it. Especially because I don’t really feel like your Author anymore. Haven’t for a while, honestly. Hell, I barely feel like his Avatar that much.”

“I did notice you kept talking about ‘him’ when it came to us being written.”

Sal shrugged. “I’ve been here long enough that I’m definitely not the same person as when he first threw me in here. Vastly different experiences. Salamando’s only imagined the basics of what I’ve been through. I’ve had to actually live it. He’s still got his mundane concerns on an actually normal Earth. I’ve got super powers in a kitchen-sink multiverse.”

He looked between the his two cosmic guardians. “You know, I’m getting a weird feeling of, I dunno, tying off loose ends?”

Kat thought for a moment, then nodded. “Like a sense of closure?”

Cyl glanced across the fourth wall to look her Author in the eye. Salamando Flames took a moment to make a wavy “more or less” gesture at his computer monitor. Cyl looked back to the others. “Maybe for this side of the story. There’s still a lot of the Omnyverse left to explore, but I get the feeling this whole meta-narrative experiment has run it’s course.”

Sal glanced up at the ceiling. He didn’t have the Progenitors direct view at his Author, but he had an intuition that Cyl was probably right. “Wow,” he said. He looked between the two Omnys. “Well, if that’s the case, we should go out with a bang.” He looked to Kat. “I know you’re still not up for fooling around with other women.” He looked to Cyl. “And I know I’m not your type.” He clapped his hands and grinned. “But whaddya say? Threesome?”

Cyl and Kat shared a glance and made a short laugh. Cyl gestured to Sal, and his clothes vanished. Kat flicked a finger at him, and his cock instantly went from flaccid to raging hard. He moved to reach for the two, but found his butt had been magically glued to the couch.

“You can jerk off for a bit while we watch,” said Kat.

“No cumming until we say,” said Cyl.

“F-fair enough,” breathed Sal as he got to work, flushing a bit as the two chuckled at him.

END

---------------------

Author’s Note: In typical Salamando fashion, another story comes to an abrupt and truncated end! This isn’t the last we’ll be seeing of the Omnyverse; there are still things I want to do in this wacky world of high-fantasy femdom. But I think this particular series of “behind the scenes” character bits and metafictional commentary has pretty much run its course. If I left it open to continue, I’d just be leaving the temptation to keep creating new Omny characters only to sideline them, and writing more aimless slice-of-life shorts and scenes where the Omnys sit around, bantering and bickering. And at this point, I think I’ve covered that ground more than enough.

A friend of mine once said that the Omnys had become something like writing therapy for me. That’s basically true. During a time of rancid self-loathing, the Omnymphotents got me writing again, let me recapture some creative passion, and have kept me going even as I’ve continued to struggle with my craft. While not without its own frustrations at times, it’s been the one project I could fall back on when everything else floundered. Sure, I look back and I cringe a little at how haphazardly written a lot of it is, and how self-indulgent some of the self-insert parts were. But as a means of wrestling with my creative demons, it has been important to me as a personal passion project.

However, such a project does not necessarily make for a good product. This is definitely one of the sloppiest, least inviting series I’ve ever worked on. A lot of times, I was just dumping neat ideas out there and indulging in meandering ruminations. Most of the conflicts, cool moments, and potential drama tend to end anti-climatically. Which fits, I suppose, given the series is about omnipotents who have settled into an ideal world of their own making, designed for minimal conflict between them, but it doesn’t make for very compelling stories if you aren’t simply charmed by the character interactions. And, of course, there’s one particularly glaring bit of irony: despite “nymphomaniacs” being a core element to their concept, I had to remind myself to include sex scenes half the time, resulting in some pretty shoe-horned feeling smut. For an author who’s cultivated an audience of erotica readers, I can only imagine The Omnymphotents has been a little frustrating to follow.

So, with all that in mind, I think it’s high time to wrap up this particular part of the Omnyverse project. As to the future, I do still have some ideas for various spin-off stories. More shorts featuring the much more down-to-Earth sexcapades of the Empowered and Created. A series featuring a mortal adventuring party traveling through the Omny Worlds. A few erotic fantasy scenarios featuring the Omnys back in their roles as Sex Goddesses having fun with their Playthings. Nothing I can solidly declare a date on, but it’s on the docket. I also will probably make a couple more ebook bundles in the near future, for those wishing to show their support.

Thank you for reading thus far, and I hope my weird tangent into the self-indulgent didn’t put you off too much! See you next story!
